My ongoing war on spam

We’ve been getting a lot of spam lately. This is partly because Google needs to lock down their Gmail service from being used to generate email addresses automatically. It may also be because we are starting to show up in more search results.

Whatever the reason, spam is no fun and no good. I have begun to sketch out some ideas for allowing the community to moderate the front page. That’s not something I can roll out right now. I mean, it is little more than a good idea right now.

I have, however, installed some other antispam stuff which should stop the abuse the front page has been getting of late.
